Your information.
Explained clearly.
How information can be collected, used, shared, protected, and handled when you use Deskvara™.
Who is responsible
Guangzhou Tingru Technology Co., Ltd. operates Deskvara™ and deskvara.com and is responsible for the personal information it handles for the store, except where another company acts independently for its own purposes. Shopify and other service providers may process information to provide storefront, checkout, payment, analytics, logistics, security, communications, or other services. Their own roles can depend on the service they provide and applicable law.
Information collected in shopping
Information can include contact details, delivery and billing information, order history, products viewed or purchased, device and browser information, IP address, checkout activity, customer-service messages, return information, and related transaction records. Payment credentials are generally processed through the relevant payment provider or checkout service. We receive the information needed to confirm and support the transaction but do not ask customers to send payment passwords, one-time security codes, or full card security credentials to customer service.
Where information comes from
Information can come directly from you when you browse, order, contact customer service, request a return, or submit a privacy request. It can also come automatically from your browser or device and from service providers involved in payment, fraud prevention, fulfillment, analytics, advertising, or delivery. We may also receive updated status information from carriers, payment providers, or other partners when it is needed to complete or support a transaction.
How we use it
We use personal information to operate the store, process orders and payments, deliver products, provide customer service, prevent fraud and abuse, keep the website secure, maintain records, improve store performance, understand product and website use, communicate about orders, and comply with legal obligations. Where permitted, information can also be used for marketing, advertising measurement, audience analysis, and personalization. The legal basis or permission required for those activities depends on the person’s location and applicable law.
Cookies and device technologies
Cookies, pixels, local storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies can be used to keep the website functioning, remember settings, support checkout, understand traffic, measure performance, detect abuse, and support advertising or analytics. Your browser, device, consent banner, or privacy controls may allow you to limit some technologies. Blocking essential functions can affect parts of the website or checkout experience.
Recipients and disclosure
Information may be shared with service providers that help operate the store, including Shopify, payment providers, fraud-prevention services, fulfillment partners, carriers, customer-support providers, hosting and analytics providers, professional advisers, and authorities where disclosure is legally required. We disclose only the information reasonably needed for the relevant service or purpose and use contractual or other safeguards where appropriate.
Advertising, ads, and sharing
Where permitted, information about website activity or purchases may be used with advertising and measurement services to understand campaign performance, show more relevant promotions, or create audiences. Some privacy laws use terms such as “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” in specific ways. Where those rights apply, eligible users can submit the applicable opt-out request using the methods made available by the store or by contacting customer service.
Shopify’s role
Deskvara™ uses Shopify to provide ecommerce and storefront infrastructure. Shopify processes information to host and operate the store, support checkout and security, and provide related platform services. Shopify can also process information for its own purposes where permitted by its terms and applicable law. Customers can review Shopify’s privacy information for details about Shopify’s independent processing.
Connected devices and companion apps
Some products can interact with third-party devices, operating systems, applications, or services. Those third parties can collect or process information independently from Deskvara™. Before enabling a connected feature, review the privacy settings and terms of the relevant device, app, or service. Deskvara™ is not responsible for an independent third party’s privacy practices merely because a product can work with that service.
Minors and consent requests
The store is not intended to collect personal information from children in circumstances where parental consent is legally required and has not been obtained. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact customer service so the matter can be reviewed. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify the request.
Rights and available choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information about certain disclosures or processing activities. These rights are not absolute. We may need to verify identity, retain information required for legal or security reasons, or decline a request where the law permits. We will explain the response when required.
Submitting a request or appeal
Privacy requests can be sent to service@deskvara.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Describe the right you want to exercise and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant account or order. If applicable law gives you a right to appeal a privacy decision, state that you are requesting an appeal and identify the decision you want reviewed.
Marketing preferences
You can use an unsubscribe control included in a marketing message when one is available, or contact customer service to ask that eligible marketing communications stop. Transactional messages about an order, payment, delivery, security issue, return, or customer-service request are not marketing and may still be sent when necessary to complete or support your transaction.
Security and sensitive information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No online service or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send account passwords, payment passwords, one-time codes, full card security information, or other credentials that customer service does not need. If you believe your account or payment method is compromised, contact the relevant provider as well as customer service where appropriate.
Children
Deskvara™ products and the ecommerce store are directed to general consumers and are not designed as a service for children to create accounts or make purchases independently. Parents or guardians should supervise a child’s use of internet-connected services and should contact us if they believe personal information has been provided in a way that requires review under applicable law.
Processing across borders
The store, Shopify, payment providers, logistics partners, and other service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. When cross-border safeguards are required, we and our providers use the mechanisms available under applicable law. Different countries may have different privacy and data-protection rules.
Independent services and third-party websites
The website or product information may refer to third-party services, apps, platforms, or websites. Those services operate under their own privacy policies and terms. A reference, compatibility statement, or connection to a third-party service does not make Deskvara™ responsible for that service’s independent collection, use, storage, or disclosure of personal information.
Updates and questions
This Privacy Policy may be updated when store practices, technology, service providers, or legal requirements change. The version published on deskvara.com is the version that applies from its stated effective date. Questions about privacy or a request concerning personal information can be sent to service@deskvara.com. We may ask for reasonable verification before disclosing or changing protected information.
